Lisa Jackson was banking on a miracle.
Now, she’s just hoping for a few more days.
Her 4-year-old daughter, Antonia Miles, suffers from a rare and highly aggressive brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.
The single mom from Galloway Township spent thousands and thousands of dollars on a new treatment in Monterrey, Mexico, hopeful after a boy with DIPG saw his tumor disappear through the treatments.

But this week Antonia started deteriorating quickly, Jackson told friends, loved ones and strangers who have come to love the little girl with the bright smile via her Facebook page, Fight4Antonia.
“My daughter is back in progression symptoms, which I already knew, so the only thing I can do now, is keep her as happy and as comfortable as possible,” her heartbroken mother wrote.
Now, instead of asking for donations toward a cure, her mother is hoping to get help laying her daughter to rest.
It will not be a funeral, she said, but a celebration of the little girl’s all-too-short life.
“She will not be remembered in a sad environment,” Jackson said. “After all, she’s the reason I am alive today.”
Jackson has said it was her daughter that inspired her to get her life on the right path.
She is trying to get a video of her daughter saying hello to all her supporters, but right now the little girl is too heavily medicated in order to keep her as pain-free as possible.
"She's just declining so quickly I can not understand," her mother wrote. "She's never progressed so quickly! I just don't feel like this is real. My heart is leaving my soul."
Donations can be made through the
Fight4Antonia PayPal account.
T-shirts are also being sold to help and get the message out:
