An Atlantic City man shot in February is now charged in the incident, police said.
Lawrence Trader, 51, shot himself Feb. 23 inside a residence on the 1500 block of Reading Avenue, according to an investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit.
The handgun recovered at the scene had been reported stolen from Ohio, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Trader is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain person not to possess a weapon and receiving stolen property.
He was released on a summons since he is still receiving medical treatment for his injury, Fair said.
