A Toms River man was arrested after he was found to have shared more than two dozen images depicting sexual abuse of children as young as 2 or 3.
David Nelson, 43, had images that included prepubescent girls naked with male genitalia touching or almost touching them.
Nelsons Kik account listed under the user name candicesloan1995 was discovered after another man offered to broadcast the sexual abuse of his 4-year-old daughter online to a person who turned out to be an FBI agent in Louisville, Kentucky, investigating child pornography being shared via the messaging app.
The suspect in that instance, who is not named in the complaint, was arrested.
As a result, investigators searched his phone and found chats between him and candisloan1995, who was found to have uploaded multiple pictures depicting child pornography between Oct. 24 and 26.
Nelson at the time lived with his 2-year-old daughter and her mother, according to the complaint. It was not clear whether the toddler was in any of the pictures.
He is charged with one count of distributing child pornography, which carries a sentence of five to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
