Police and Secret Service were in full force Thursday as President George W. Bush put in a brief appearance at the Borgata.
The former president was in town for a talk to what sources say was a mortgage gathering.
He was gone by about 12:15 p.m.
State Police, casino security and Secret Service joined Atlantic City police — including members of the Bomb Squad — stationed outside the casino.
Chris Filiciello, former Mayor Don Guardian's chief of staff, worked for Bush when he was in the White House. He said he hadn't heard about the visit.
He said he did meet the former president in person twice.
No further information was available about the visit.
