Gunfire erupted twice overnight in Atlantic City. A vehicle was struck in the 900 block of Sewell Avenue at about 10:40 p.m., police said. An alert from the city’s audio gunshot notification system ShotSpotter alerted police. Evidence of gunfire was found, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Another ShotSpotter alert came in at 12:56 a.m. in the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue, Fair said. It counted more than a dozen shots. There were no reports of injuries in either shooting.
