An Atlantic City man accused of sexually assaulting two young sisters has been indicted on charges including sexual assault and terroristic threats.
Norberto Gonzalez, 22, was living with a relative in Atlantic City when it was discovered he had assaulted the woman's 6- and 10-year-old daughters, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
The crimes were discovered after the woman — whose relationship to Gonzalez has not been disclosed — saw him coming out of the older girls' bedroom May 5, according to information previously released in court.
The girl said it had happened on several occasions.
Gonzalez was arrested the next day.
After Gonzalez was out of the home, the victim's 12-year-old brother told their mother that he had seen Gonzalez sexually assault his 6-year-old sister.
The boy said he didn’t tell because Gonzalez had threatened to hurt him.
When asked about the incident, the 6-year-old told her mother it was true.
A grand jury indicted Gonzalez on two courts of second-degree sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree endangering and making terroristic threats.
He remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
