  • News
The woman accused of fatally beating her mother and grandmother inside the Ventnor condominium they shared is due in Atlantic County court Friday. Heather Barbera, 41, was found in New York, where she allegedly fled following the killings. She had been held at the Rose M. Singer Center, a women's facility on Rikers Island. She was extradited back to Atlantic County on Thursday. She was officially an inmate of the Atlantic County Justice Facility by 2:45 p.m. Elaine Rosen, 87, and her daughter Michelle Gordon, 67, were found dead at about 10:25 a.m. July 8. The cause of death for both was determined to be multiple blunt-impact injuries caused by a nightstick. She is charged with two counts of murder, along with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and robbery.
