Atlantic City will celebrate community with walks, barbecue and 'Black Panther'

  • News
Community will be the theme Thursday as Atlantic City celebrates its fifth annual Brown's Park Community Walk and BBQ. The event is on the same night as the weekly Community Walk attended by law enforcement and Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner, which begins at 5:45 p.m. at the All Wars Memorial Building. Thursday's event will include special guest Attorney General Gurbir Grewal. “As attorney general, I have made community policing one of my highest priorities," Grewal said. "I firmly believe in developing relationships and building trust between our law enforcement officers and community members. There is something special about enjoying a summer evening in a relaxed, informal setting that brings people together. I am excited to participate in the Atlantic City Community Walks and thank the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Atlantic City Police Department for welcoming me.” Beginning at 6 p.m. at Brown's Park, Police Community Relations and the Police Athletic League will present their annual celebration with free food, a book bag giveaway and a showing of "Black Panther."
