A Mays Landing man was arrested for allegedly attacking a NJ Transit bus driver on Christmas.
Mikal Scott, 27, went onto a NJ Transit bus and punched the 34-year-old driver in the mouth, police said.
Police were called to the Black Horse Pike near Leipzig Avenue at 7:07 p.m.
When Officer Jet Pahang found Scott on Forest Lane a short time, the suspect refused the officer's commands, according to the report.
Scott punched the officer twice in the head, and then fled, police said.
Scott was later found at his residence, where he was arrested without incident.
Pahang was treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona.
Scott is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of the law.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a bail hearing.
