One person was hospitalized in an Atlantic City house fire early Wednesday morning.
The call came in at about 3:35 a.m. at 402 Connecticut Ave., Fire Chief Scott Evans said.
The first firefighters on the scene of the 3½-story woodframe home were met with heavy fire on the third floor, he said.
Five engine companies, a ladder company and Rescue One were on the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Only one person was home at the time, Evans said. It is still not clear how the man was injured.
Evans said the man was transferred to Temple University Hospital and has not been able to be interviewed.
