An Atlantic City man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted and threatened his girlfriend while armed.
Police were called to the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue at 8:19 a.m. Wednesday.
They arrived to find the victim, who had been assaulted. Her boyfriend, Kareem Blocker, had fled, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers Ed Obert, Robert Thompson, and Brendan Andros found him in a hotel room inside of Bally’s Hotel and Casino. He was arrested without incident.
Blocker, 38, of Atlantic City, is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and contempt of court.
He is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
