Two arrested with drugs in Atlantic City

  • News

Two men were arrested and about 1,400 bags of heroin seized after Atlantic City police observed an apparent drug deal Thursday.

Sgt. Richard Andrews was conducting surveillance in the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue just before 2 p.m., when he saw a drug transaction between Marlow Guerrier and Keaon Horton, according to the report.

Guerrier, 29, of Pleasantville, drove away and was stopped by Andrews and other detectives, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.

Guerrier tried to run away, but detectives caught him. As he resisted being handcuffed, 25- bags of heroin that had been concealed in his pants fell to the ground, according to the report.

Detectives later found another 300 bags in his pants, along with $5,762 in cash from his vehicle, Fair said.
Horton, 21, of Atlantic City, was found outside his residence in the 300 block of N. South Carolina Avenue.

As Detectives Will Herrerias and Ermindo Marsini came toward him, Horton allegedly tried to hide a bag of cocaine in his waistband.

He was then taken into custody.

Inside his residence, police found 850 bags of heroin and 68 grams of marijuana, according to the charges.

They also found $1,674 in cast.

The money seized from both men is believed to be profits from drug sales.

Both men were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
