An Atlantic City man faces gun charges after a concerned resident reported him to police.
Officer Albert Herbert was stopped by someone last week who told him a man living in Jeffries Towers on North Vermont Avenue had guns in his apartment, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Detectives went to Guy Richardson’s apartment Wednesday to talk to him and saw a handgun inside a holster hanging on a chair in the kitchen, according to the report.
Because Richardson has a criminal history, it is illegal for him to have a handgun, Fair said.
Detectives then found two more handguns in the apartment, including one in a kitchen drawer.
A 13-year-old boy was also in the apartment, with access to the guns, Fair said. He was turned over to a family member.
Richardson, 60, was charged with certain person not to possess a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on a summons.
