A registered sex offender from Bridgeton pleaded guilty last week to possession of child pornography.
David Randles, 40, was arrested in April after a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that child pornography had been uploaded at a residence in Upper Deerfield, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae announced at the time.
Randles was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography and released on a summons.
He pleaded guilty to the charge July 12, and is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
Randles has two prior convictions of criminal sexual contact, according to his Megan’s Law registry page.
He was indicted of criminal sexual penetration in 1997, according to court records. He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, and was sentenced to two years’ probation. He served 429 days in jail, records show.
The other is from 1995 out of Cape May County, in which he “befriends victims to gain trust,” according to the Megan’s Law registry entry.
Randles also received three years’ probation in 2007, when he failed to register an address change, court records show.
