An Atlantic City man wanted on a warrant was arrested with a loaded handgun, police said.
Detectives Ermindo Marsini, Nick Berardis and Chris Smith saw Mark Washington while conducting an investigation in the beach block of Tennessee Avenue at about 11:40 a.m. Friday, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Washington, 40, was sitting in a chair on the sidewalk, according to the report.
Under the chair, the officers found a handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition in a shoe box. He was arrested without incident.
Washington was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition and contempt of court.
He is currently in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
