Atlantic City man pleads guilty in $10,000 drug case

  • News
An Atlantic City man pleaded guilty Tuesday in a case that involved selling drugs out of a city rooming house. William Catrambone, 55, also admitted to stealing a woman's handbag inside Caesars Atlantic City on Oct. 2, 2016. Catrambone was one of six people arrested Nov. 2, 2016, for selling heroin and cocaine out of a Pennsylvania Avenue rooming house. Police recovered a handgun and about $10,000 worth of drugs, including 75 grams of raw heroin and 67 grams of cocaine. Catrambone faces long-term probation in exchange for his plea and the promise of truthful testimony against his co-defendants, if necessary. He also must stay out of casinos and can have no contact with the victims. Catrambone told Superior Court Judge Benjamin Podolnick that the gun belonged to "the fellow that was renting (the room)," who he knew as Q. He did not give a full name. Co-defendant Quan Taylor, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with two gun offenses. Catrambone agreed to pay $10,360 in restitution.
