A one-car crash closed a portion of Route 9 in Galloway Township for about an hour Friday.
Police were called to the area of Route 9 and Leeds Point Road at about 2:50 p.m. for the report of a car crash and a downed utility pole, police said.
An investigation found that Cynthia Verderber was traveling south on Route 9 when her 2011 Dodge Durango left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The SUV then continued off the road into a wooded area, where it struck a tree.
