An Atlantic City man is charged in the fatal shooting of a man Monday.
Howard Cassell, 30, is jailed on charges of reckless manslaughter, along with weapons offenses in the killing of Da’quan Montague.
Montague, 21, of Atlantic City, was shot near A.C. Linen in the area of 18 N. New Jersey Ave., Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said Saturday.
Cassell is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. A detention hearing is set for Tuesday.
Another Atlantic City man, Tajai Hicks–Anderson, 23, was charged with third-degree aggravated assault and released on a summons.
The investigation was conducted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
