Posts claiming human-traffickers targeting mall are fake, police say

  • News

Social media posts by a woman claiming human-traffickers targeted her at the Hamilton Mall are false, police said Monday.
The department "is aware of the Facebook posts being shared," police said in a release. "To this date, we have had ZERO reported incidents to our police department regarding suspicions of crimes involving human-trafficking occurring or eing attempted,."
Mall security has had no reports either, police said.
Police urged anyone who would like to provide information to contact Detective Fernan at 609-325-2700, ext. 575.
