Hamilton officer injured in crash

  • News

A Hamilton Township officer was injured when a car struck his parked patrol car while he was investigating another crash Wednesday night.
Officer Jeremy Hartman was parked on the shoulder of Wrangleboro Road near Tilton Road for a crash investigation just before 8 p.m. when a car heading north slid into the back of Hartman's patrol vehicle.
Basir Thompson, who was driving a 2007 Mitsubishi, tried to yield, but was unable to due to the road conditions, police said.
Hartman was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad assisted at the crash site.
It is being investigated by Sgt. Nicole Nelson.
