A Mays Landing man was injured when he crashed his all-terrain vehicle into a tree Friday afternoon. Hamilton Township police were called to Pittsburg Avenue just before 2 p.m. for the report of an ATV crash with injury.
They found Justin Sacchinelli, 28, conscious and alert next to his ATV. Sacchinelli was heading south on Pittsburg when he left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree on his property, police said. He suffered a significant injury to the right side of his head and face, as well as minor injuries to his left wrist and right leg.
He was airlifted to AtlaniticCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus for treatment. Township of Hamilton Rescue, AtlantiCare Medics, Mizpah Fire, Mays Landing Fire and Cooper 1.
