Buses will replace trains on NJ Transit A.C. Line next month

Those who take the Atlantic City Line trains between Lindenwold and Atlantic City will be taking the bus starting April 9.
As work is done on the track and signals are improved, buses will replace the trains from April 9 through June 22, the company has announced.
From about 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, buses on NJ Transit’s Bus Route No. 554 line will replace those trains.
Those leaving Atlantic City should be prepared to leave the terminal 15 minutes before the scheduled bus departure time.
The last trains to operate normally will be the 4612 that leaves Atlantic City at 6:40 a.m. and the 4611 that leaves Philadelphia at 5:37 a.m. departure from Philadelphia.
Service is expected to resume with the 4630 that leaves Atlantic City at 3:36 p.m. and the 4631 from Philadelphia that leaves at 3:19 p.m.
In Atlantic City, the No. 554 will originate/terminate at the Atlantic City Bus Terminal.
Customers can take a jitney between the Atlantic City Rail Terminal and the bus terminal. Customers traveling from Atlantic City should be prepared to depart the rail terminal 15 minutes before the scheduled bus-departure time.
In Absecon, buses to Atlantic City will leave from the bus stop on White Horse Pike near Station Avenue. Those headed to Lindenwold will leave from the bus stop on Station Avenue, across from the Absecon station.
At Egg Harbor City and Atco, buses will stop adjacent to the train station platform.
For Hammonton, buses will stop on Egg Harbor Road at Bellevue Avenue.
NJ Transit advises passengers to check signs at the bus stop to make sure they are traveling in the right direction before boarding the bus.
Additional details will be published in the April 8 Atlantic City Rail Line timetable, which will be available on trains and at Atlantic City and Philadelphia-30th Street stations around April 3.
