An Atlantic City man arrested on drug and gun offenses last year is now charged with robbing four cabdrivers at knifepoint in a week.
Two drivers were stabbed, police said.
Darrell Wade, 46, allegedly would hail a cab in different parts of the city, and then threaten the drivers with a knife once he got to his destination, robbing them of their money, Sgt. Kevin Fair said..
The robberies happened between March 18 and 24.
During the investigation, Detectives Eugene Laielli and Matthew Cocuzza were able to obtain surveillance photographs of the suspect, who Detective Ermindo Marsini identified the as Wade, according to the report.
Marsini and Detective Brian Hambrecht arrested Wade on Monday.
Wade was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he is charged with four counts each of robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Wade was arrested last March on drug and weapons offenses.
