An Atlantic City man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly trying to shoot someone last week.
Patrol officers responded to the 200 block of North Tennessee Avenue just after 5 p.m March 20 for reports of gunfire, Sgt. Kevin Fair.
Officers arrived to find several shell casings, according to the report. The intended target was not injured.
An investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit led to charges being filed against Chreshull Rucker.
Rucker, 28, was arrested by Officers Christian Ivanov and Daniel Arra in the 300 block of North Kentucky Avenue.
He was charged aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Rucker was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he served 13 days of a 60-day sentence in a 2014 drug case, records show.
His criminal history dates to a 2008 cocaine arrest.
