An Atlantic City councilman charged with assaulting his wife got a temporary restraining order against her Tuesday.
Jeffree Fauntleroy II also will keep custody of the couple's three children.
In the court documents filed Tuesday, Fauntleroy alleges his estranged wife was drunk when she came to their home Sunday.
It was he who called the police when she refused to leave.
The next day, she went to police and filed a charge.
Fauntleroy told BreakingAC that he and his wife have been separated since October, when she took the children out of state without permission.
She has been staying with her mother since. The children are with him.
The couple is due back in court next month.
