Atlantic City police get two new deputy chiefs and six new captains

Atlantic City promoted eight officers Tuesday.

The promotions included filling vacant deputy chief positions. Capt. Jerry Barnhart, who heads the city's Bomb Squad, and Capt. James Sarkos, head of the Special Investigations Section, were both made deputy chiefs in a ceremony at City Hall. Lts. Harry Brubaker, Robert Campbell Jr., Lee Hendricks, Stacy Herrerias, Rudy Lushina and Bridget Pierce are all now captains.
