Police investigating armed robbery in Ventnor

Ventnor police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday night. Police were called to the Nashville Market at about 5:50 p.m., Lt. Joe Fussner said. A clerk told police the man came into the store in the 5100 block of Ventnor Aveue and demanded cash, according to the report. The suspect was seen in possession of a gun. He fled with an undetermined amount of cash. The clerk was not injured. The suspect is described as a 5-foot-5 white  man with a slim build. Police searched the area with help from Margate police and a Somers Point K-9, Fussner said. A suspect has not been found. Anyone with information is asked to call Ventnor police at 609-822-2101.
