An Atlantic City man has been arrested in a shooting that wounded a man.
Robert Timmons, 23, was arrested Wednesday, a day after the shooting in the 1900 block of Missouri Avenue.
ShotSpotter alerted police to a shots fired at 5:14 p.m. Tuesday, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
A vehicle left the area at a high rate of speed, witnesses told police.
Minutes later, a 51-year-old Sicklerville man walked into the Public Safety Building with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus.
His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
An investigation by Detective Juanita Harris and the Violent Crimes Unit identified Timmons as the shooter, Fair said.
Harris and patrol officers arrested him Wednesday night.
Timmons was previously charged in a knife-point robbery last year.
He is now charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was being sent to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, police said. But the jail did not yet have him in their system.
