Atlantic City man, two teens arrested in armed robbery, shooting

A wanted man and two juveniles have been arrested in an armed robbery that wounded a man Dasheem Maldonado, 19, turned himself in at about 3 p.m. Friday, hours after police released his photo and the charges he faces, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. He is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, conspiracy and weapons offenses in the Nov. 2 attack that wounded a 20-year-old man from Galloway Township. The robbery happened in a car in which the victim and three suspects were inside, according to the report. The other two suspects, two 16-year-olds from Atlantic City, were spotted at 9:18 Friday night by Officer Eric Evans in the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue, Fair said. They were taken into custody without incident. Both teens, whose names were not released due to their ages, face the same charges as Maldonado. They are being held in the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center. Maldonado in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

UPDATE

Maldonado was released with conditions Wednesday, after a judge denied the state's motion to detain him pending trial. One man was wounded in the Nov. 2 incidnet. Another man was also shot at, according to information released in court. As part of his release, Maldonado must check in with the court weekly — including in-person every other week. And cannot have contact with the victims, co-defendants or any witnesses in the case.
