The woman whose violent arrest on a Wildwood beach went viral pleaded not guilty in Superior Court on Friday.
Emily Weinman, 20, will apply for pretrial intervention, attorney Steve Scheffler said.
The woman was indicted on assault charges in the case after rejecting a plea deal.
The video from Memorial Day weekend shows her refusing to give her name after being found on the beach with alcohol.
The woman insisted she hadn’t been drinking and took a breath test to prove it.
But when the officer told her he needed her name to issue a citation for possession of alcohol by someone underage, she refused. Body camera footage showed the arrest, which includes an officer appearing to punch the pinned woman and her spitting at one.
