Witnesses helped police track down an Atlantic City man who allegedly stabbed a cell phone store employee Monday.
Officers George Mancuso and Ozriel Martin were finishing a call at 5:41 p.m. in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue, when a man with a stab wound to his neck ran up to them, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Mancuso immediately started to treat the wound. The 24-year-old man from the Bronx was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with a non-life threatening injury, according to the report.
Several witnesses gave the officers a detailed description of the suspect and his direction of flight, Fair said.
Officer Eric Knuttel found Geno McIntosh in the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue. McIntosh had a knife in his pocket and blood on his clothing, Fair said.
He was arrested without incident.
McIntosh had applied for a cell phone at Assurance Wireless when he had an interaction with the employee and left, according to the report. He returned a short time later and stabbed the victim.
McIntosh, 23, is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
