Trump Plaza’s former workers can finally get paid.
Those eligible can collect their $1,500 severance checks Thursday and Friday from the Unite HERE Local 54 office, said Donna DeCaprio, the union’s financial secretary/treasurer.
The office will be opened from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
The union negotiated the payouts with Trump Entertainment Resorts in 2009, preparing for the casino hotel to close.
The Plaza closed in September 2014.
Eligible former employees must have worked there for more than a year, and not have been laid off more than 90 days before the closure, DeCaprio said.
Photo identification is required to collect the check.
