Two arrested on drug charges in Atlantic City

Two men were arrested after Atlantic City police searched several residences in the 300 block of Rosemont Place. Police recovered 340 bags of heroin along with cocaine, marijuana and $850 in cash, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. The search warrants were the result of a month-long investigation by Detectives William Warner, Garry Stowe and Will Herrerias. Lavon Davis, 29, of Pleasantville, was charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone. Shaheed Black, 23, of Atlantic City, was charged with possession of a CDS, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone. Both men were released on summonses. Anyone with information about the distribution of narcotics is asked to call Atlantic City police at 609-347-5858.
