A Galloway Township man is jailed after he allegedly assaulted a man Sunday, outside an Atlantic City church.
Anthony Hargrove, 36, is charged with simple assault and criminal mischief.
The incident happened at about 2:15 p.m. at Filbert and Dover avenues near the Cathedral Grace Family Church, where Hargrove’s father is a pastor and a police chaplain.
The victim said he was in a relationship with Hargrove but the two have had issues, according to the complaint obtained by BreakingAC.
During a verbal exchange, he claimed Hargrove punched him in the face, threatened to kill him and called for help from the church.
Hargrove is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
