An Ocean County couple was arrested for allegedly selling marijuana, THC vaping cartridges and psychedelic mushrooms out of a Berkeley Township home.
A multi-agency investigation led to the arrests of Aryn Nemati and Heather Alexander on Tuesday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
Inside the home, investigators found more than five pounds of marijuana and about 225 vaping cartridges, along with mushrooms, drug paraphernalia and about $18,000 in cash, Billhimer said.
Nemati, 25, is charged with possession of more than five pounds but less than 25 pounds of marijuana, possession of more than a half-ounce but less than five ounces of psilocybin mushrooms with intent to distribute, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, financial facilitation of criminal activity, possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is being held in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Alexander, 22, faces the same charges but was released on a summons.
