Man injured in Hamilton Township crash

A Hammonton man was injured after he lost control while passing a car in Hamilton Township, police said.
Raymond Scipione, 48, was heading north on Weymouth Road around milepost 23.2, when he lost control and struck a tree just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to the report.
Scipione was trapped in his car and had to be extricated, police said.
He was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus in Atlantic City with serious injuries.
The Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare Medics, and fire companies from Weymouth, Mizpah and Laureldale assisted at the scene.
