A Hammonton man has been indicted on first-degree drug charges after a kilogram of heroin and other drugs were found during his arrest last month, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said Thursday.
Josue Bonilla, 43, is charged with first-degree possession and distribution of heroin and first-degree possession of more than five ounces of crystal meth.
Bonilla became the target of a multi-agency investigation back in the summer of 2018, Tyner said.
It culminated in Bonilla’s arrest March 9, when investigators recovered 1½ pounds of methamphetamine, seven ounces of cocaine and the heroin, Tyner said.
Bonilla was lodged in the Essex County Jail, according to a release from Tyner’s office. But the jail had no listing for him there.
