A second teenager has been charged with murder in the shooting of a 16-year-old who died in June.
A 16-year-old Atlantic City boy was arrested last week in the death of Quran Bazemore, who died June 25, 10 days after he was shot in the 1000 block of Arctic Avenue.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested days after the shooting and charged with attempted murder. That was upgraded to murder after Bazemore died.
Now a second teen is accused, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner announced Tuesday, five days after the arrest.
Both teens are in the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center. Their names are not being released due to their ages.
“This arrest is the product of the hard work and continuing investigation of the detectives of both the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department,” Tyner said of the second arrest.
