An Atlantic City man on probation in a domestic violence case was arrested this week with a loaded handgun and drugs, according to new charges.
Tony Griffin, 46, was arrested Friday, inside a home on the on the 500 block of North Kentucky Avenue, after a warrant led police to find a loaded handgun, 460 bags of heroin and 15 grams of cocaine, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Griffin was previously charged after he allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a gun during an incident in December of 2017.
In November, he was sentenced to two years' probation after pleading to a fourth-degree obstruction charge, court records show.
Now Griffin is back in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on two counts each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, and possession with intent to distribute within a school zone. He is additionally charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and certain person not to possess a weapon.
