Atlantic City police charged four people for drug offenses after a car wanted in an investigation was stopped outside an Absecon pub Friday.
Detective Fariyd Holmes saw the vehicle heading out of Atlantic City on Route 30 just before noon Friday, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers responded to conduct a motor vehicle stop, which ended up happening outside the Hi-Point Pub in Absecon.
The heavy police presence — including marked cars from Atlantic City, Absecon and Pleasantville — drew lots of attention and questions from the public Friday.
All four people inside were arrested after police found 22 grams of cocaine and eight grams of marijuana inside the vehicle, Fair said.
Passenger Rashad Bey, 20, of Pleasantville, also had heroin and more cocaine on him, according to the report.
He was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to distribute CDS.
Juwan Miller, 23, of Pleasantville; Deante Ramseur, 21, of Absecon, and Nadiyah Thomas, 27, of Atlantic City, were charged with two counts each of possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute.
All four were released on summonses.
