A Maryland couple were arrested Friday, after Atlantic City police say they found a loaded gun and marijuana in their car.
Officers Alberto Valles and Chris Dodson stopped the car at Tennessee and Atlantic avenues at about 1:40 p.m., after several traffic violations including one that almost caused a multi-vehicle crash, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Jamal Pinchback was driving, but did not have a valid license, according to the report.
The officers saw marijuana on the floor and arrested Pinchback and his passenger, Brooke Roberts, Fair said.
The officers searched the car and found a loaded handgun and more marijuana, according to the report.
Pinchback, 26, of Baltimore, and Roberts, 21, of Mitchellville, Md., were charged with drug possession, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of hollow-point ammunition.
Both were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
