  • News

An Atlantic City man wanted on robbery and drug charges was arrested by Brigantine police Wednesday.
Police were called to a downed bicyclist near the Brigantine bridge at about 2 p.m., police said.
When Officer Brook Craver arrived, she saw a man standing near an overturned bicycle, but he fled as she approached, according to the report.
He ran into traffic, where drivers had to stop abruptly to avoid hitting him, police said.
Craver caught up to him underneath the bridge on the U-turn.
An investigation found Ahmir Nash was wanted in connection to previous robbery and drug charges, police said.
He also had a quantity of suspected heroin.
Nash, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction by flight and hindering apprehension.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on the warrant.
