An Atlantic City man allegedly got drunk and stabbed two friends during an altercation.
Isaac Lowendi was inside a home on the 2000 block of McKinley Avenue with the two men Thursday night, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Lowendi became intoxicated and was asked to leave but refused, according to the report.
He then pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the men, Fair said. The second man was stabbed trying to intervene.
The men were able to subdue Lowendi and got the knife away from him.
Police were called just after 11 p.m.
Both victims, whose names were not released, were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Lowendi, 42, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and a single count of unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
