Atlantic City man's fanny pack allegedly had gun, drugs

  • News

An Atlantic City man was arrested last week after allegedly fleeing police with a fanny pack full of drugs and a loaded handgun.
Police responded to Indiana and Atlantic avenues Friday afternoon for the report of a man with a handgun and drugs, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Nashid Seymore, 24, ran when Officer Scott Sendrick tried to stop him when he was seen walking on Indiana Avenue, according to the report.
Seymore discarded a backpack, which Sendrick picked up.
Officers Ivaylo Ivanov and Kevin Perez continued the chase, and arrested Seymore in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue, Fair said.
Inside the fanny pack around Seymore’s waist officers found a loaded handgun, 77 bags of heroin and 19½ grams of marijuana.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
