Atlantic City police ask for help in finding missing man

  • News

Atlantic City police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man missing more than two months.
Robert Jones, 47, was reported missing June 8, after family members were notified by the people where he lives that he had not been seen for a while.
He was last seen about three weeks earlier, they told police.
Detectives have been actively investigating Jones’s disappearance since the initial report, when a Silver Alert was issued, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Jones is 6-foot-3 and about 260 pounds. He has moles that cover his face and suffers from medical ailments that could leave him confused and disoriented, Fair said. He is known to frequent the Boardwalk, fast food restaurants and local parks.

The family told BreakingAC earlier this month that they were beginning to worry that something bad may have happened to him.
Police on Tuesday issued a new photo of Jones in hopes that someone may recognize him.
Anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts is asked to contact Atlantic City police at 609-347-5766. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
