A motorcyclist allegedly trying to flee Atlantic City police found out the cameras are always watching.
Just before noon Monday, Sgt. Jody Hersh tried to stop a motorcycle with no license plate at Providence and Atlantic avenues. But when Hersh put on his lights, the motorcyclist took off, speeding through several red lights, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Rather than give chase, Hersh called in a description. Officers in the department's Surveillance Center were then able to track Joseph Cadalzo's whereabouts, according to the report.
Cadalzo ended up stopping in the beach block of Rhode Island Avenue, where surveillance cameras caught him going onto the Boardwalk, Fair said.
Officer Ivaylo Ivanov then was given direction by officers monitoring the cameras, and Cadalzo was arrested.
Cadalzo, 30, of New York, was charged with eluding, obstruction of justice and multiple motor vehicle summonses.
He was released on a summons.
