A Northfield man was allegedly growing marijuana in his home, police found after a domestic call Monday.
Dennis Macgrogan, 48, had more than 10 pounds of pot in the home, Capt. Steve Steinecke said.
Police were called to the home in the 100 block of Steelman Avenue for a domestic disturbance, and found the 5-foot-tall marijuana plants growing on the rear deck, decorated with flowers to disguise it, according to the report.
Detective Geoffrey Bentz then got a search warrant and found more marijuana inside, along with scales and other drug paraphernalia.
A rifle was also located, but was legally owned, Steinecke said.
Macgrogan was charged with possession and distribution of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released on a summons pending court.
