A Delaware men was arrested in Atlantic City after he accidentally shot himself in the leg inside a casino parking garage, police said.
William Byrd, 30, of Middletown, walked into the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus at 9:47 p.m. Saturday with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Byrd told medical personnel that he accidentally shot himself inside hi vehicle at the Caesars Colosseum Parking Garage, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers went to the vehicle, where the found the loaded handgun, according to the report.
Byrd was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and released on a summons.
The investigation was led by the Violent Crimes Unit.
