A man was wounded in a shooting in Atlantic City on Friday night.
A ShotSpotter alert brought police to the first block of North Hartford Avenue at 11:39 p.m., Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Arriving patrol officers found a 25-year-old city man wounded in the area near the Boom market, according to the report.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with serious injuries.
As police worked the scene Friday night, sneakers and clothing could be seen on the ground. The window of a nearby home was also struck.
The investigation is being led by the Violent Crimes Unit.
