A teenager is in custody in a shooting that seriously injured a 16-year-old in Atlantic City last week.
A 15-year-old has been charged in the shooting, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. His name is not being released due to his age.
The boy was identified through an investigation by the city's Violent Crimes Unit. He then turned himself in Wednesday.
He is charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
The unnamed victim was shot in the area of Arctic Avenue between Virginia and Pennsylvania avenues around midnight Saturday. He was rushed to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
